Privacy notice · 29 October 2026

Your details.
A defined purpose.

This notice explains how John Robinson uses information supplied through the MAJVERA reviewer request form.

Who is responsible

John Robinson, the author and originator of MAJVERA, is the controller of information supplied for reviewer requests.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email John.robinson@majvera.com. Please include your request reference if you have one.

What the form collects

The form collects your name, professional email, role, country, relevant organisational details, professional or academic background, qualifications if supplied, review interests, availability, NDA-party information, potential conflicts and any comments you choose to provide.

Only fields marked as required are needed to assess and respond to a request. Registered addresses, identity documents and sensitive personal information should not be submitted here. Any additional details needed for a review agreement will be requested privately.

Purpose and legal basis

Your details are used to consider suitability for a focused review, discuss potential conflicts, respond to your request and, where appropriate, arrange a reviewer qualification form, confidentiality agreement and review scope.

This initial processing relies on the consent you give when submitting the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting John Robinson. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You are not legally required to apply; without the required information, the request cannot be assessed.

Limited technical processing to protect the form from abuse is based on the legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable service. No automated decision determines reviewer suitability.

Delivery and access

Requests are delivered privately by email to John Robinson’s MAJVERA review mailbox, with a copy to a Gmail mailbox he controls. They are not displayed on this website, added to a public directory, sold or used for marketing.

The website is operated through John Robinson’s UK2-hosted account. Hosting and email providers, including Google for the Gmail copy, process the information needed to operate the site and deliver requests. Details of processing locations and any applicable international-transfer arrangements are available from John Robinson.

Any additional sharing needed for a review agreement will be discussed before it takes place. Any subsequent review relationship will have its own agreed terms.

Retention

If your request does not proceed, the request and related correspondence will be deleted within 12 months of the last contact. If a review proceeds, the retention arrangements for agreements and review records will be explained as part of that process.

The form does not keep a separate database of request contents. Your submitted details are included in the private email. Routine hosting and mail logs and backups are managed by the relevant providers.

Anti-spam records contain a hashed network address and request times, rather than the form answers. They support a one-hour rate-limit window and are refreshed as the form is used.

Cookies and other services

Opening the form uses an essential session cookie to protect submission and display its confirmation. It is set to expire at the end of the browser session, although browser session-restore settings can affect its lifetime. The site uses no advertising cookies, third-party analytics or external CAPTCHA service.

The privacy page does not set a form session cookie. Opening a linked external website is subject to that website’s own privacy arrangements.

Your choices and rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use the privacy contact above.

You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (opens in a new tab) or the relevant supervisory authority where you live or work.
